I'm Emma, a Brighton and London-based communications freelancer with over a decade's agency and in-house experience. 

I work with NGOs and charities to motivate, inspire and persuade their audiences. My most recent permanent role was head of policy, research and programme communications for Sightsavers. And before this, I spent nine years in creative PR and digital agencies, delivering impactful communications campaigns for global brands, and winning 19 industry awards along the way.

What I do


I create integrated communications strategies that are based on insights, your strategic objectives and your audiences’ needs. My diverse skillset means I can also lead on the delivery of the communications tactics, from PR to email marketing.


I design and deliver smart and impactful PR campaigns which raise profiles, drive donations, influence policy and change behaviours. I craft meaningful stories and work with influential media to shape your reputation. 


My carefully tailored and cost-effective brand workshops have been designed to help you define and position your brand identity. I also provide support and expertise at every stage of the brand development. 


Over the last ten years I've delivered creative, compelling and persuasive copy and content for national newspapers, magazines, blogs, websites and advertising campaigns.
